ABC provides personal advice and support to anyone affected by anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and all kinds of eating distress.

ANXIETY UK

Anxiety UK works to relieve and support those living with anxiety disorders by providing information, support and understanding via an extensive range of services, including 1:1 therapy.

APNI - THE ASSOCIATION FOR POST NATAL ILLNESS

The Association has a countrywide network of phone, e-mail and postal volunteers, who have had, and recovered from post-natal illness. The volunteers are carefully vetted to ensure that they are completely well, that they have had no previous mental illness and that they are not opposed to drug therapy.

BEAT – HELP FOR ADULTS

Beat provides helplines, online support and a network of UK-wide self-help groups to help adults and young people in the UK beat their eating disorders.

The Beat Adult Helpline is open to anyone over 18 who needs support and information relating to an eating disorder, including sufferers, carers and professionals.

 

BEAT – HELP FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Beat provides helplines, online support and a network of UK-wide self-help groups to help adults and young people in the UK beat their eating disorders.

The Beat Youthline is for those aged 25 or under.

The leading UK charity in supporting families suffering from pre (antenatal) and postnatal illnesses.

Suicide prevention for young people up to the age of 35.

PNI
A website and forum run by sufferers and past sufferers (survivors) of Post Natal Illness (PNI).

RETHINK
Provides expert, accredited advice and information to everyone affected by mental health problems. Clear, relevant information on everything from treatment and care to benefits and employment rights.

SAMARITANS
24 hours a day to provide emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of emotional distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.

The new helpline number is free of charge and won’t appear on telephone bills either.

 

SANE
SANE services provide practical help, emotional support and specialist information to individuals affected by mental health problems, their family, friends and carers.

SURVIVORS OF BEREAVEMENT BY SUICIDE
Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide exist to meet the needs and break the isolation experienced by those bereaved by suicide. A self-help organisation, which aims to provide a safe, confidential environment in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings, so giving and gaining support from each other.
